Local Catholics to attend March for Life in Washington, D.C.
About 200 pilgrims will participate in Jan. 23 event
APPLETON — Nearly 40 years after the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion in the case Roe v. Wade, at least 200 pilgrims from the Diocese of Green Bay are preparing to participate in the annual March for Life rally in Washington, D.C.
Traveling by bus and plane, the pilgrims, including 130 high school youth, will join crowds expected to number between 400,000 and 500,000 in the rally at the National Mall and subsequent march up Constitution Avenue to the U.S. Supreme Court building on Capitol Hill.
