Cheap Flights to Hawaii

I have heard that Allegiant Air may be coming to Hawaii in the summer of 2012 and if so, will they be the one to offer cheap flights to Hawaii?  My understanding is that this airline does not offer connecting flights and will only serve smaller market cities on or near the west coast.  So if this is true, they will only be able to serve a very limited market.  So unless you are flying directly out of the smaller cities they serve, you will not be able to enjoy their supposed cheap flights to Hawaii.  I understand they may be flying to Hawaii out of Bellingham, Washington, Bakersfield and Fresno California and Colorado Springs.  So like anything else, you need to see the small print in their advertising.
